Engine cranking strength indicates a good battery condition and assessment needs to focus on testing fuel pressure and ignition spark and sensor output. The first component to inspect when cranking produces weak sound or slow cranking speed is the battery and its cable connections.
Airflow problems and minor vacuum leaks and worn ignition components that perform better at low RPMs create a rough idle.
